ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

1. General service description

  1. Bolia.com is a Danish e-commerce platform for modern design furniture and interior decor. The service offers visibility and online ordering of furniture, home accessories and lighting. The website is also available on mobiles, tablets and desktops – with the option of screen reader use, change of text size and high contrast. Our content is structured with headings, text descriptions and optional filters to make navigation easy and clear.

Formats are available for people with disabilities:

    • Website designed for screen readers (e.g. VoiceOver, NVDA).
    • Easy-to-read text with clear headings, short sections, and practical examples and ideas.
    • Electronic text-to-speech is enabled through compatibility with screen readers and browser add-ons.
    • (Optional) Audio file/video of the statement – uploaded as MP3/MP4 files.

  2. 2. User descriptions and instructions
  3. Navigation and use:

    • All navigable content – including menus, buttons, and forms – is fully accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, and arrow keys).
    • Images include alternative text (alt text), where relevant, to ensure accessibility for screen readers.
    • Forms and interactive elements have clear labels, error messages, status messages and guidance text.
    • Filtering and product search have clear tags and an easy overview.

    Understanding and accessibility:

    • User-friendly English written in plain, accessible language.
    • Text size can be adjusted using browser settings.
    • Contrast requirements are met, so elements correspond to WCAG 2.1 AA.
    • Time-limited functions, such as automatic timeouts, can be controlled or overridden using a keyboard.

  4. 3. Compliance with standards (Appendix 1)
  5. Bolia.com is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Danish Accessibility Act. The following documentation requirements have been addressed:

    Fulfilled

All graphic elements meet ≥ 4.5:1 requirements

    2.1 Keyboard navigation

    Some third-party pop-ups require improvement – to be adjusted in Q3 2025

    • Q3 2025: Alternative text complete and keyboard navigation fully tested
    • Q4 2025: Updating third-party modules

When requirements are considered disproportionately burdensome (cf. Annex 5), the decision is clearly documented.
